Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy with me is an invitation to come back into your body in a way that feels safe, supported, and deeply respectful of your pace. Instead of pushing through symptoms, I help you slow down and notice the small signals-tightness, holding, numbness, fluttering-that often sit beneath anxiety, pain, or exhaustion.

During your session, I may guide you into gentle positions, supportive touch, or simple movements while bringing kind awareness to what you feel. This body awareness work can ease stress, soften bracing patterns, and help you understand how your body has been trying to protect you. Many clients describe feeling more grounded, spacious in their chest, and clearer in their thoughts after even a few sessions.

Because the nervous system is at the heart of this work, I often weave in nervous system regulation tools such as Breath Regulation Therapy and Calming Nervous System Techniques. These may include guided breathing, orienting exercises, and vagal nerve stimulation therapy to support relaxation, steadier moods, and better sleep.

For those carrying trauma or long-term stress, Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy and Somatic Experiencing-inspired approaches help your body gently complete old fight, flight, or freeze responses without re‑living the story. Emotional Release Somatic Work supports stuck feelings to move in manageable waves, often bringing a sense of relief and lightness.

Movement Integration Therapy and Mind-Body Connection Sessions may be used to explore how you sit, stand, and move through daily life, improving coordination, posture, and confidence in your body. Over time, Neuroplasticity Support Sessions help your brain learn new, more comfortable patterns, so calm and ease become more familiar than tension and overwhelm.

Somatic Therapy is especially supportive if talk therapy alone has not fully shifted how your body feels. Together, we create a space where your whole system can reset, repair, and remember what it is like to feel safe inside your own skin.
